I would definitely say I take pride in being Black because I feel like my race has made a lot of contributions, especially culturally, to the world in general. I just feel like we've been through so much and have persevered as a race, so yeah, I feel like there's definitely pride there."

We created rock and roll. We created jazz, we created hip hop. And if you look at other cultures, they have rap artists now. I just feel like most culture has been rooted from Black culture. And even a lot of our slang now was taken from either Black queer culture or just Black culture as a whole."
